Yeah, I reached out a ages ago to find out the process, cost etc. Got back to me really quickly and said to reach out when I am ready.

Wrote mid year this year, had a map for an NNN ecu (my TD5 had the msb) within 48 hours of asking, including payment. Super simple.

Wrote to me a week later, asking how it was and if all was well. I wrote back with all my feedback and that it was early days but overall happy, had a few things I wanted to monitor for a while.

Followed up with me asking me how it was a few months later. No idea if that is now the usual email turn around rate or not. I have half a mind to order a turbo just to see how I get on but I have never had an issue contacting like others have.

    Odd!

    Good Morning all...

Right , before this just go out of hand here I am replying and personally writing about this !

I am my biggest critic and I know communications are an issue ! It got to a point where people start sending Instagram messages, company facebook, emails and even personal Facebook messages and this resulted in chaos ! I receive about 100 messages a day some of them are from the same sender/subject in all those different chanels and that means even long nights of work are not enough to make all my inboxes go to zero!

Few months ago the company that you all know as td5inside was basically one person which is me ! Website, sales, emails, orders packing and sending and of course remapping , just one person doing it all! There’s another person now doing some of the stuff but of course remaps it’s still just me and I will keep it that way because I don’t want to be mainstream like others and send or do a generic remap to costumers! I would like to keep our way of working which is a fully costumised remap done according to the costumers specs and adjusted till they are 100%happy!

Replying emails and messages is also something I believe needs to be done by me because people expect help and technical answers and I believe that’s something only me can give !

The plan for the next few weeks is to have our website ready with full prices which will avoid 40% of the emails/message questions! Then we will have email split by subject which basically will allow us to have a better idea of which is which and progressively having me receiving all the messages regarding Turbos, remaps and technical data and someone else regarding orders, order status and so on !

I’m not complaining or moaning , but then business did grow to fast - I like to think due to the quality of the service - and I would like to keep it that way ! This growing also meant me to travel a lot with tuning sessions booked all over Europe ( been last week in Belgium and Holland , leaving to Malta tomorrow , then off to France and Sweden ) and we can’t say no to work ...

I would like to ask to anyone that is waiting for a reply if they could send a bump to their last message ( not a new one please) and myself will reply in the next 24 hours !

Thank you very much for the understanding and hope to make everyone happy and pleased !

    Sincerely ,

    José

Everyone and everything is important Mike specially if they are costumers already ! I prefer to loose a potential costumer then having an effective costumer ( one that have payed ) unhappy and not pleased with the service ! That’s the order out there so if you didn’t have your reply yet that’s our fault !

Can you please pull your email up again and I’ll personally get back to you today !

    Thank you

It is still a big shame as it had to come to this as so many have raved about your work .
Your reputation was second to none

I will consider my choices for now and might reconsider at a latter date if the rumour mill works for the positive .
Thank you for manning up and owning it

Thank you.... to be honest it does give me a bit a confort the fact that people complain ( in their fully right) about this and not the remaps or actually the work we carry on itself ... that is something I always wanted and want to be spot on and perfect and me worrying to much and working so much to have it done that way was probably what lead me to this point of “overwork”...

Well... plugging the OBD to myself and the office and full gas on work now 💨💨🤣🤣

Thank you everyone for helping and supporting !

    José

So what about your web site? many had used that an made enquiries and after months of waiting gave up. Is the web site not your first preference for contact? where do customers contact you, please post a contact detail.

The website sends an email to us so it’s basically sending an email. So, td5inside and info@td5inside.com are a direct contact detail !

    Thank you

    A suggestion Jose,

There are only so many base configurations you get asked for:
    auto | manual
    defender | disco
    Eu2 | Eu3
std | heavy duty torque converter

I'd guess you have created maps for every combination of these so when you get a request, if you had a half decent website, you could email a base "get started map" back within seconds. Coupled with the confirmation of uploading the existing map which identifies a lot of that stuff anyway.

You have just earned a heap of money for no real effort and pleased probably 80% of your customers.

You then have 20% to come back with requests for actual tweaks for whatever reason or with technical issues.

There is a mistaken belief that you need a map sent so you can alter that map, which is crazy because all of the standard maps are the same, so why would you even do more than a diff to compare that the existing map is standard before sending out your base tuning.
If you are concerned about tagging your maps so you can tell if they are being passed around (I'd guess you probably want to tweak a few values with LSB to allow tagging but no real effect on the actual map) then you can automate this.
If you need help with this then give me a PM, I don't really do the website stuff, but I can do all the back end processing to automate about 80% of your business, I'd even be happy to help you get someone local to do the development and provide a tech oversight.

The next thing would be to just semi-automate your orders for turbos etc. You are planning to fail by having random format emails coming in that you have to read and understand. If you had a basic web form that just created an order you would again save yourself a lot of pain.

I'll be honest, I got my map from you and was going to purchase the VNT as well, but due to slow response for purchase and everyone else having issues I'm probably not going to go that route. Allisport I think were about $1000 cheaper for a VNT and if I have issues I know they will be contactable.

It takes ages to build a a business and a reputation, but no time at all to lose both
