Thread: SLS compressor rebuild

Rebuilt the compressor today in the D2

Initially I did the cylinder ring but found the cylinder was damaged, I did hone originally the keep the compressor running until I could source a new cylinder replacement.

I did originally just get the piston ring off eBay and needed to contact Andy direct for the complete kit as it wasn't listed on eBay as yet.



Old compressor pulled down




New cylinder head in slightly different but fitted correctly



Needed to run a tap into the head for mounting



All up only took around 1/2 hour and pretty easy!



And the results

18.29 seconds to pump to off road height from first beep to light on dash.

Hi John,

I originally just got the ring kit

When I ordered the cylinder head it came with complete items as detailed here (not the compressor on the right)


I also just checked his eBay store and the cylinder head parts aren't listed?
So you'll have to contact him via eBay messages.
I did ask Andy for the head and the ring to be sent so not 100% it's a complete kit??
