I'll spend an enormous amount of time weighing all advice, comparing that to car inspections/ performance ( including a few small practice runs this year) and look forward to completing a detailed write up from the outcome.

The original plastic ones allowed the cylinder head to 'walk' around quite a bit, resulting in head gasket failure. Your car is in the right 'mileage' bracket for this to happen. Mine went at around 240, and I've been told I was lucky to get that far.Quote:
