The Ashcroft with ATB and sleeved case is about $1850. Then you have to get it here, then you have to have it installed.
BTW they also fitted the harmonic balancer. Not a quick job.

Before I had a Land Rover I did not have any torque wrenches. Now I have three.

Transfer case removal & fitting is not that difficult, but time consuming. I suppose it depends if you have the mechanical skills and more so the time.
I know mine has to come out soon, noisy bearing and leaks. Should have done it when I replaced the gearbox. Considering rebuild kit with ATB vs buying a complete unit from Ashcroft's to go with the Ashcroft gearbox.

I lay awake at night dreaming of getting the full Ashcroft TC, the rebuilt R380 and a pair of ATB diffs for the axles.

    Getting there slowly.
Out of necessity got the Ashcroft R380 with mods - cheaper than a recon in Australia delivered to my door.
Got the front ATB a couple of weeks ago from another LR enthusiast.
No to get a Truetrac/Eaton for the rear Salisbury as no ATB for these again subject to fundraising.
And an centre ATB, just to decide do I get a full rebuilt TC from Ashcroft or just the ATB and rebuild kit, will depend on finances.
    Gotta stop daydreaming.

They charged two hours for labour on the HB fitting.
They also replaced the exhaust down pipe and the shaft out of the auto box plus they replaced the worn third diff housing. Drained and refilled front and rear diffs, replaced lhf tie rod.
All seals and bearings replaced in tc and 3rd diff.
All feels very good and I can trust these people.
    Regards Nick.
Bye the way. This is the first time in my life that I have owned a Land Rover that does NOT leak oil!

Maybe Crash but my love is still true and strong.
If I replace any more bits it will be brand new. It is a bit like painting the Sydney Harbour Bridge!

Does anyone know where I can get a Good td5 auto gearbox at a really good price.
I'm running out of money and it now seems that the vibration is in the gearbox.
The dealers are quoting prices close to what I paid for the whole car

Good luck with that. You could try Dan: the landy place. He had one about a month ago, but they move fast. Ask me how I know.
