Hi, When the splines on the axle are twisted is it because the diff is stronger than the axle or the axle is soft and weak?

I have front and rear lockers and have snapped the front CV and the rear right Axle had the twisted splines

I was happy to have a rotoflex (and carry a spare) thought itd be the weakest point being rubber, turns out it was the cross-pin in centre. I assume once you've fixed centre, c&p and axles rotoflex or uni joints would be next
