    Big flat spot

when accelerating from a standing start, the car feels like its got 50hp for the first 3 to 5 seconds and accelerates slowly before it takes off and accelerates well, annoying and at times dangerous

Worse on hot days, a bit better on cooler days.
    td5.

Anything tricky about an oil and filter change?

    Thanks
    Russell

hmm, mine was doing this for a day or so a few months back, worked out it was the air box not properly closed, kept sucking itself closed and then releasing rapidly. Easy fix.

A new MAF sensor really smoothed out power delivery too.

On oil changes, you might find the primary oil filter a little tricky, but i’ve got skinny hands and find it no problem - much easier than my tf rodeo.

Be careful not to strip the threads on the oil sump too.
