Under the bonnet, up near the windscreen where the air intake for the climate control is there are 2 black electrical plugs.
These are near the outer edge on the drip tray.
Nothing is plugged into them.
Anyone have any idea what these are for? Are they live?
Thanks Jonesfam

Thanks for that.
I was just wondering.
They can sit there for now even though one caught on my watch while I was cleaning in there, nearly ripped my arm off!

For Heated windscreen, I have a heated scree on my Rangie, until you have one you don't realise how useful they are on frosty foggy nights when travelling
As these are used for a heater I imagine that they would carry a decent current, Can they be used to power up a couple ofsmall roof mounted LED light bars to illuminate the sides of the track? Also where do the wires come out under the dash so that a switch can be hooked up to them?

I was thinking same ..
Looking at the RAVE diagram, the wires to and from the plugs come directly off Fuse(s) 7 and 8 on the engine bay fuse box, which in turn are driven off relay R208(marked heated front screen).
Fuses are 40 Amp, so you're right about them allowing a fair bit of current for just such an application
Fuse 7 controls the RHS plug and fuse 8 does the LHS plug. But the relay controls both of those fuses in parallel.
The wire to control the relay R208 comes directly from the BCU and is pink and grey(stripe).
A possible easy way to control it all via that pink/grey wire.

Connector(C0661) is the yellow one on the BCU on the far left hand end of that bank.
Looking for pin 12 on that connector.
Oh! and the wire colour is actually Pink/Brown(not grey) stripe.
I was originally looking at it via the coloured wire diagram on my screen, and it's hard to tell with that method.
It is marked as KN(K=pink, N=brown).
