I personally like slotted rotors for a few reasons.
1. If a stone tries to embed in your pads and grind away your rotor the slots just break it up and eject it = no disc or pad damage.
2. If you come out of a mud bath or water crossing they clear off almost instantly on the first brake application = full braking, even cold and wet.
3. They do help with fade = more braking reserve if pushed hard.
4. The pads and discs wear evenly.
All of the above is from my experience of both slotted and plain discs on cars and 4x4s over decades. Not buying or selling here, just sharing my experience... Racing, too.
Negatives are they are more expensive, some can generate a light whirring noise under brakes, are harder to machine if required and may cause a slightly reduced pad life.
My two bobs... Either you see the benefit in them or you don't.
