Modify the D2, or not [ minor work]

I've decided to keep my old D2, TD5, over 400,000Km's on the clock. I would like to do a couple of mods which I believe would be beneficial. First up, replace my radiator with an aluminium , bigger capacity one. I know they are out there, somewhere. Second, a larger intercooler, out there as well. I believe after the intercooler is replaced, some voodoo magic has to happen to the computer. To that end, because I have the unchippable computer, I would get an upgrade to the chippable one, only need the towing chip, don't want to mess with the EGT's too much. OK, smart thing to do, or am I caught up in modification fever? And where do I find these radiators/ intercoolers ?. I await in a strange state of excitement, for answers. OR that could be just wind. Cheers.

It works both ways, an old fart getting a new lease as well, I guess we will both go out together, more incentive to keep the old girl going.

What’s the suspension like? After 100,000km of 50/50 of potholed bitumen & gravel roads our D2 is now a bit scary to drive with all the body roll and steering slack, especially on gravel corners!

I brought home a Series III parts donor with it last week and it was an interesting experience to say the least...

    Nothing new dampers wouldn't fix.

Yes I’m sure not sure if I need to get new coils as well because front axle hits the bump stops if it hits a pot hole.

Maybe, but I'd start with dampers. Still, coils aren't expensive, and are easy to fit. Just don't go too firm on the coils. I did, and absolutely ruined the ride, for no perceivable benefit. Does it have SLS?
