Got a pic? I don't know what a band clamp is.
Hi have to replace the power steering line that goes from the reservoir to the pump (some one put the foam protector on the other side of the u piece) is there a special tool to get them off or is there another way .

If they are the ones I'm thinking of you can lever them open with a small flat screw driver and close them again with pliers.
will post a pic tomorrow . I think Bee utey might be on the right track
Do you mean Cobra clamps? There is a special tool for them but a screwdriver will remove them and pliers with relatch them. The tool makes it easier.

Or leave it where it is and use another piece of foam or whatever and cable tie it in the right place.
Is it the low pressure hose that rubs on the block down low on left side of vehicle?
I've got a pair of these. They are awesome. For normal clamps in most auto applications.
There is another variant with the below, different inserts for the 'click' clamps:

AFAIK they are "Click" clamps and you can buy the tool on ebay for under $20.

When you get them off, throw them away and replace with worm drive hose clamps.

I think you are right Philip . Have to replace the line as it has rubbed through on the corner where the foam should have been.
THANK YOU ALL VERY MUCH FOR HELPING
