    If my answer is not late.... for solar charger splice in with a scotchlok into the brown wire (pin 1) of C0028, this circuit goes directly to battery through FL8 of the engine bay fusebox

    No not a scotchlok bloody horrid things ,cut/splice/solder insulate

    but I might combine the location ( Thanks SF. ) with a previous method.

    IMO scotchlocks are OK for low current applications, i've used them with success many times... off course that for higher than 5A circuits are sh*t
