Air in the fuel lines but no leak and starts like a dream...

    Hi Everyone

So we are into week 2 of the discovery being back on the road after a long break thanks to a head gasket, the truck was running like a dream, so much so I whipped the child seats out of the hatchback and into the disco for a week of school taxi.

Yesterday morning she started, idled, drove downhill to the round about, around we go, then up the hill, boost, power, no problem, then cough cough splutter dead.

No less than 6 prime cycles, she fired up very cranky and down on pots 2 & 3 by hawkeye but as she warmed up, smoothed out and became "normal" again.

Even school pick up was no hassles so this mornings school drop off should have been uneventful.

This was not meant to be...no smoke on start up, started first time, idled and revved well to the U - Turn, made it about 15m up a hill and it was all over but for getting out and locking the doors.

I've ordered a replacement bleed valve for the diesel filter housing, yesterday I replaced the diesel filter, the pump is running (will test pressure today) and the FPR is as dry as a dingo's ...

No codes are thrown for a cylinder mis-fire.

    Any suggestions?

    Rob

Sounds like injector seals to me.

    Cheers,
