There is rubber under the feet.
I did have them just ‘snugged’ tight, but they slowly came loose and I could hear them squeaking. Especially on corrugations. So I probably over tightened!
I’ll have a search for something softer to replace them and will repost what I find

Rubber on both parts of the feet Yeah? Top and bottom? I have rattle on one of mine that could do with a tighten but I'm a bit reluctant to do it seeing your problem. Like the bloke above mentioned try rare spares or even Clark rubber you used to be able to get flares and door seals from them I'm sure you still can.

Remember your car is now 14-19 years old now. Plastic doesn't last for ever especially on our D2's. For whatever reason the trim bits just don't seem to hold up to the harsh Aussie sun and don't get me started on the centre console.

i had all my trims replaced about 11 months ag apart from the front 2 finishers that are no longer available as part of a roof repaint and new windscreen .

Mine had cracked in places and I also have a full length roof rack cage which is on Chaffy full time. Previous owner had completed a couple of desert trips and spend a lot of time inthe high country with rack loaded right up.

When the panel beater tried to remove some of the trims to ready the roodf for paint they literally disintegrated. I was lucky as some were replaced on insurance and I bout the rest to finish Chaffy off and make him look good again. I purchased the the rear and rear finishers which hides the rear door seal. Expensive yes but I should be goof for another 10 or so years I hope.

keep us abreast If you do find suitable replacements.
