    Except a mineral oil based grease will deteriorate the boots, you need something rubber compatible, e.g. silicone or castor based.

    A valid point. I had assumed a grease that specified itself as being suitable for brake parts would be compatible with the rubber components to. I have been using the Bendix Ceramic High Performance Synthetic Lubricant < https://www.bendix.com.au/content/hi...rake-lubricant > which according to their site is rubber and plastic compatible.
