    Turbo flow maps

    Hi all,
I have a chra hybrid turbo from turbo rebuild in the UK on my Td5, can anyone here help decipher the turbo flow map vs boost pressure for certain rpms or airflow readings?
I'm asking because at this stage I really have no idea how to work it out, and hoping someone may have a simple way of explaining it....
The website says it's good for 22psi, but at what airflow amount? obviously 22psi @1800 rpm is considerably less turbine speed than 22psi @3000 rpm, and this is where I get onto trouble.
I'm guessing peak pressure output would occur @ relatively low engine rpm, depending of course on enough exhaust gas to spin it up,and then would roll off as the turbos capacity itself runs out of headroom.
Am I anywhere near the mark?
    Cheers James

Plotting Points on Maps | Turbobygarrett

    Hi James
apart from converting some stuff to metric, I find this explains it well
I generally use this as a go to when calculating, basically using an average of 90% VE for standard TD5 head. 92% VE if match ported . another 1% with ceramic coated manifold, as I haven't been able to get hard and fast figures.
I think the turbo company have used the 22 psi figure as a generalisation as 22 psi pre intercooler will be lower post intercooler , by how much obviously depends on the intercooler .
A good map will have peak VE and peak torque around the same rpm.

I looked at this earlier, but just sat down now to have a proper go.....and its vanished! and I can't find it on the garret website either
