    Eyebrow moulds

I want to remove the eyebrow moulds from my wheel arches. What's the "right" way to do this?? They are ugly, IMO, and serve no purpose. I'm asking about the OE LR ones on a 2000 D2.

Hair dryer to soften the double sided tape, then pull them off, followed by either elbow grease or a caramel wheel to remove the tape from the panels.

Double sided tape? Is that all it is? I did wonder, but maybe I've been around LR too long. Thanks. Getting the gunk off may just need eucalyptus oil. It's great for that.

Maybe some thick fishing line and use it to sort of cut the tape then scrub off the left over stuff

Not sure how. I think they were just meant to look 'tough'. Many variants didn't have them. I'll bet they just collect dirt. I'll report back.

Not sure of the D2s but I had them on my D1.

The fronts were pop rivetted on and the rears were glued on with SikaFlex but the D2s may have been different.

D2 where a glue type stuff from memory. I didnt like them except on white D2s where with black accents everywhere else they looked great (especially with black mags).

    Cheers

    How did you go?

Thinking of taking mine off for a lick of paint tomorrow.

I have a heat gun, cleaning stuff, sand paper, black enamel paint and double sided tape at the ready.

    Wouldn't this finish be better?
