Its not a fun job but not bad, Id rather do that then pull a radiator out if all the rad hoses are still using the spring clips.
If you have good tall axle stands (or something solid to put shorter ones on) you can put under the chassis its not too bad as you can then pull the front wheels off and drop the axle right down for more clearance, if i had to do it again i would pull the cross member bar off and undo the top shock mounts as well so the axle will drop even lower.
From memory the steel bottom hose also makes it a bit of pain if i did it again id remove it.
you will also want a couple of different length extension bars as well.

why you need to pull the sump but? unless its for the oil pump bolt most oil leaks come from up higher

It's a pretty ordinary job imo, I've done quite a few now,
I'd only use a genuine sump gasket as we have had trouble with the aftermarket ones disintegrating, you can use fishing line or cotton or zip tags through the gasket bolt holes and the sump bolt holes to hold the gasket in place while fitting the sump.
You need sealant at the back which is a pain, and there is a revised torque setting for a number of the back bolts....
    Enjoy...
