Doesn't really look like a used muffler, usually they acquire a few dings and such in them which it doesn't have. Most exhaust shops I've seen paint the welds and joins afterwards. For the price probably about what you'd expect for parts and labour. Can't be judged on noise - the turbo is still in the exhaust which is itself a restriction. You may find that the previous muffler wasn't very restrictive anyhow.

Looks very sus to me as said use a magnet on the muffler I couldn't see a weld point on the rear part of the muffler and it's no easy to weld new stainless to old mild steel. If it was me id have it checked by a machinic or the people doing the performance upgrade if they say that you haven't got what you paid for then confront them be prepared to go to fair trade. Best of luck.

How's this for a conspiracy theory...
They took your old muffler off by unbolting 1 end and cutting the other. Took it over to the bench and welded a length of pipe straight through it. Painted it, THEN flipped it over to hide all the dings and LR logo.....go rub your hand on top and see if you can feel the logo!!!!

Nah it's probably just hard to find the join, probably a redback high flow and the some goons painted the whole thing with cold gal.
I paid $200 for a redback centre and had the resonator cut off on a v8, so the price isn't a bad deal it's just not what you asked for.
    Cheers jim
