Thread: Help - need an ECU in Sydney to test with and one to buy if successful

I am continuing to troubleshoot my electrical issues TD5 mis-firing and surging (i think) .

I would like to borrow an ECU from someone in Sydney (prefer southern suburbs) for a few minutes, as now I'm fairly sure it's one of a few things:

1. ECU
2. Throttle position sensor
3. injector (not login issues but you never know)
4. wiring (that I haven't found yet)

I would like to swap out an ECU to test my theory, I'm happy to pay in beer for the privilege.

If someone has one to sell, I would prefer an NNN rewritable ECU (what's the part number for the best ?), so I can play with remaps later if required.

I'm just about ready for the Looney bin after spending countless hours looking for this fault. Any and all assistance is appreciated greatly. PM for mobile if you can help.

ECU and wiring are currently in pieces, so if anyone wants photos, let me know

I'm also happy to pay (in beer or your preferred poison) for someone who knows what they are doing with td5 electrical problems to give me a hand.

I reckon I would have my old MSB ecu sitting around (defender) which you can use. I currently have an NNN ecu in my truck but unless necessary would prefer to not remove if you can test using the MSB ecu.

Joe, this would be great, would i be able to borrow it for a week or so ? i only need to start the vehicle and bring the revs up in order to see the problem, so i don't think the fact that i have an auto will be a problem (or will it ???)

Mate, this is more than i would have asked for ... but if your offering, it would be greatly appreciated.
