URGENT: TD5 Cam Cover Plug Needed

I have a friend who’s in Southern Adelaide (Morphett Vale Region) who’s not mechanical and urgently needs a cam cover plug. I’ve used mine & forgot to buy more. The shops are closed and it’s their family car.

    HELP please?!!

I’m happy to drive to you.

Really? Thanks. I’ve used ultra black gasket maker to stick his back in. Hopefully TRS are open on Monday.

Or you can use Teflon Plumbing Tape, just keep winding it around until it will give you a good tight fit and no mess that way.

Excellent. Great idea. I can try that if the gasket fails.

    Thanks everyone

If your not going far, just drive without it.

When i had the D2,the front one fell out and was caught on the wiring harness at the front of the engine.

i don't know how long it was there for.

He did drive for 15k or so. The engine still has the EGR mechanism in Siri so it was leaning against that. He does have an impressive oil puddle on the road outside his house - even for a Land Rover!
