Thanks all for the feedback guys!
I have ended up going for Terrafirma TF119s (i scored a pair for $140 brand new delivered)
if these suck after a little while i will seriously look more into the Bilstein or Ultima!
Im pleased the original shocks went the distance (shocks in my newer wife's xtrail only lasted about 100K)

    Next question,
Would there be any issues of running 2 inch travel shocks on standard height springs/ air bags?
would this allow any more articulation??

Now After spending much of the day changing out my OEM air bags and looking for air leaks,
I have found my rear radius arm bushes are flogged out,
looks like thats my next project. (doing research on bushes now, love this forum)

I had a set of Pedders Red something and th bush on one flogged out. I could not find a replacement bush. I ended up with a pair of originals for free courtsey of one of the guys on the forum. The ride is better for me, i.e. softer.

Before I had a Land Rover I did not have any torque wrenches. Now I have three.
