Still no word on how my sleeved housing is going. Hope to reassemble it later this week.

The machined surface looks a bit rough not sure how that will seal .
also should have top hated it ,the design is not practical.
any way it's done now all the best with it .
Excuse my ignorance but how does the shaft seal now?
Mine needs doing but I'd imagined that the sleeve/collar would have an o ring provision to seal it...or do you just gum it up with sealant on install?
It seals between the bushed surface and the rubber O ring that goes on the shaft .
thats the reason the finished surface of the bush should have been machined a lot better.
Ah..of course. .there's an o ring on the shaft😞
And the next one I do I'll be asking for a taper/chamfer as a lead on the bush.
It helps with getting that O ring in.
I had crazy trouble with the last one as I called for an almost gudgeon pin tight, push fit.
