Its not that the LT230 is weak, its just more convienience.
In a patrol with an LS, you are just driving the rear on road, but it does have an LSD. So you not getting the front and rear drive benifit.
Agree with fitting the biggest nissan diffs if running very big power and over 35+ tyres on a Rover, you loose diff clearance, so you need 37s [emoji6]
You can keep it rover front and keep your clearance, LRA do a rover9 for rear also.
I have a low pinion rover9, comp arb locker,35spline hitough & and 10 bolt flanged rear.
Up front, Rover pegged Ashcroft everything, 24spline hitough axles & 10bolt flanged
