TD5 changing Camshaft bore seals mand rocker cover seal.

Hello, any traps for the unwary? The rocker cover looks straightforward. The rear camshaft borer seal could be tricky, what with access, short arms and a big belly. I am changing the injector loom as well

    TIA

My memory might be playing tricks but I thought that the rear seal for the camshaft boring is part of the cam cover seal, only requiring a little silicone sealant around that section before fitting.

Haven't seen many of the rear cam seals leak , it's usually the rocker cover 1/2 moon seal , but if it is leaking it would be much easier to clean the area and use silicon , also use silicon on the new rocker cover gasket 1/2 moon seal

You may be thinking of the rocker shaft. That does have 2 3mm beads of STC 5433 sealant. When people talk about silicon. What type? From supercheap autobarn? or cough cough bunnings
