    Amigos related question

    Hi All,

I have my new, modified shuttle valve switch assembly, all ready to do the 'Option B' fix for the three amigos.

So, can I lift the Wabco modulator up enough to fit the new switch assembly without removing brake pipes and subsequent bleeding? If, can you steer me in the direction of the right contortions to do it please?

    Many thanks,
    Ian &

Move the p/s reservoir out the way , remove modulator mount nuts and wiring connectors , then , very carefully unclip the brake pipes , top first while easing the modulator forward, then prop it up with something so you can access the 3 bolts (4mm Allen head from memory) if you don't have a socket type Allen key I'd suggest cutting down a normal Allen key and fitting into a 1/4 drive socket otherwise it will be slow going.

Indeed, it can be done just like this. And yes, even with a socket type 4mm Allen key and 1/4" drive ratchet, getting the three cap screws out and back in is a PITA. I took quite a few photos and will try to get around to doing a bit of a write-up on the process.
    Thanks for your help guys.
