The chemist shop is not a silly idea. I have read a few times of D2's parked under powerlines and other forms of electromagnetic fields and had the same problems as yours. Is it parked near anything radiating?

I had to push my D2 a few metres to get it to start and it was quite a distance from the chemist shop. I noted the heavy power lines above at the time too.

I have parked beside the railway line (pretty close to the tracks). My fob has not given me any troubles before this.

Just wondering if disconnecting and reconnecting the battery might make the system reset. A random thought.
Do you only have one fob? If you had two it might be the other would work.
    Could your battery be flat?
Is the auto in Park? There is a switch on the auto which prevents it from starting unless in Park. The switch failed in our D1 and we couldn't start it until the switch was replaced.

If this is somewhere you haven't parked before I'd be moving it if that close to the rail system. There is a lot of electromagnetic spetrum in use there, from overhead power lines to microwave transmissions.

I moved it today to the other side of the car park and still no response to using the fob. Think I need the help of someone with a nanocom

Check the starting battery terminals are tight, they can work loose with that weird cone shaped nut, as on my old D2 I had a couple of not locking/unlocking, not starting occurrences and eventually found a loose terminal.

Disco 2 td5 immobilised without eka

How old is the battery? The BCU can be obstinate if voltage is down. Try again with a fully charged and known good one - you might be surprisedDisco 2 td5 immobilised without eka

Got my Eka emailed to me today. It was four digits with a couple of E's in it. Land rover Oz couldn't help me with the translation of E to a number but thank goodness for the internet and groups like this. Was able to drive my disco home this evening. Thanks to everyone on here for your help and support.
