Thanks PhillipA, 16x7 alloys can be found here too, most had 16x8s I think though. I'd really prefer steel wheels though.

Those ones with the rounded spokes are usually 16x7 and had 235.70x16 tyres.

I bought a set of P38 mags and was surprised that they were 8inch as the tyre choices are not as wide. I was refused by a Bridgestone dealer to put 245 70x16s on, although with later research I think they are OK.

I currently have 255.70 x16s BFGs on but would like a slightly smaller diameter, and the 255.65x16s are all pussy except maybe the Michelin Latitude cross.

So it should be much easier to get 16x7 mags than steels.
    Regards PhilipA

    Hi twr7cx,

I really just like the look of the oem ones, no other reason. I believe dynamic make a 16x7 +30 which would be about perfect. I'm running 30mm spacers with my alloys, they seem ok so far despite what some say about spacers/adapters.

Go on............ guess............................................. ....... $A36 was all, for the 4 wheels. YIKES!

There was a time when these were valued as changeovers for going in the rough stuff & then put the Alloys back on when you got home, but no longer it seems.

I couldn't shift them, so off to Scrappy Land they had to go.
It couldn't have been yours Des, I got it from a lovely old bloke....

Similar to yours though, the original Michelin spare had never touched the road.

It is just a facade I put on Ian, I really am a grumpy olde bastard as it happens. Just ask 'er indoors.

    Er, perhaps not.

So what? There’s freight companies that can deliver internationally. And/or Dynamic Wheels likely have a NZ distributor...

D2 steel rims are not that common but someone like British offroad on the sunshine coast would be a good place to look if they don't have them they would most likely know where to get them. I didn't think he was placing a wanted add as he hasn't asked anyone if they were selling any just where he can find some.

Well if your currently running spacers to achieve your desired offset then your going to be far better off replacing the lot with the correct offset Dynamic wheels. It will reduce the risks and complexity of your setup and ensue your using a wheel correctly designed and made for the application.

I assume when you say spacers you mean hub adapters as 30mm is probably too much for a spacer. The difference being that spacers are like washers with holes for the studies to go through and just space the wheel out further away from the hub face using the original studs. Hub adapters bolt onto the hub using the original studs then the wheels bolt onto them using their new studs. Both have negatives and concerns with their use.

One issue with the hub adapters that you may not have experienced yet is that over time rust, corrosion and dirt builds up between the hub face and them making them extremely difficult to remove as there is no where to grip and pull or wiggle like a wheel and tyre. This can lead to a lot of extra fun when needing to replace hubs, brake parts, etc.

Thanks twr7cx, yeah I can get some 16x7 dynamics here by special order. You're right, dynamics would be better and that is what I'd normally do but I like the look of the OEM wheels. I've anti-seized the adapters before fitting and worst come to the worst I'll have to take a wheel off, undo the adapter nuts and then bolt the wheel back on to pull the adapter off with. I've never run adapters so thought it was worth a try. That said OEMs seem hard to find so I might end up with dynamics anyway!!
