How much boost can a Td5 accept whilst remaining reliable?

... my “tweaked” TD5 has been running “reliably” for well over 100,000km. I’m running an early “chipped” ECU, plus a BAS boost box and all with standard turbo, intercooler, and hoses. Peak boost for me is set to 28psi (VDO gauge pressure) and is achieved with a Manual Boost T, rather than fiddling with the waste gate adjustment, the final tweak was a WGM bypass. For the boost signal hose connection I drilled the inlet manifold. This is all “old school” and there are more refined ways to achieve the same result if I were to do it nowadays.
