Turbo boost.

Actually it only ever gets to 28 on the odd occasion, and that’s when the cruise control initiates an auto trans kick down
which I don’t like, so I’ve since learned to anticipate and will adjust the throttle, or down shift beforehand. Moderate acceleration from a standstill thru to 100kph will see boost coming on early and peaking at 24 or 26psi at around 2800 rpm depending on the grade or slope. EGTs (measured pre turbo) average between 300 and 450. Higher boost generally results in lower EGTs although I believe it’s a different story when towing. I don’t tow so somebody else might chip in with their experience. My D2 weighs in at 2.6T so is definitely not a speed demon but is no slouch either
i average 11.2L/100km.
