    Phwack!

    A fist sized river rock kicked up, or dislodged from a load from oncoming traffic on a 4 lane divided road with a wide treed median plantation separating the opposing traffic. Thought that It was coming on through to collect me but it ricocheted high and over ...

    Better to have a dint in the bonnet, than to have one in your head. Pretty lucky it didnt come through the windscreen

    Bugger! Lucky your OK. Trouble with those sort of things the insurance excess is as much as the repair, and getting someone who is good at matching faded paint that is 20yrs old.

    Yes, i’m thinking of bogging it myself and painting the bonnet black but masking off the raised “power bulge” section so it stays original colour for contrast - should look okay.
