    Bottle jack

I recently bought a D2 but it didnt come with a bottle jack, Just wondering if any one would know the height I'd need with a replacement jack.
My car is just at factory standard height.

Ideally you need a factory jack which is 2 stage as it must be short to get under the trailing or leading arms with a flat tire and extend long enough to raise an inflated tyre off the ground.
    regards PhilipA

There was a thread here some time ago inquiring about a D3 hydraulic jack where I gave the measurements.

    yep,, two stage.

you should be able to get an original D2 one second hand,, just make sure it goes all the way up,, they tend to lose all their oil...

170 mm compressed, you are aware it under the bonnet, behind the battery, yeah?

Also be sure to order as "complete with handles" from wreckers, as I ordered one and it came with none.

You could get a small trolley jack from super cheap auto barn.

Well worth the effort to track down an original D2 Jack - they have a good lifting stroke and fairly low profile.

I have a D2 jack that lifts from 175-395mm. Others have quoted 170-400mm.
