    Did you know?

    OBD2 fault codes,,

    A 3 number code like 0418
is a World Wide OBD2 generated code.. and they ALL mean the same thing world wide/car wide

A P1418 is a Land Rover specific code.

or P1418 if you are connected to a Honda,, is a Honda specific code...

A P.... code retrieved with OBD2 scanner is generic code, not specific for any vehicle, it's triggered by the same diagnostic protocol... though the description of the code can vary from one manufacturer to another addapted to that specific vehicle's equipment while the root of it is the same. For example OBD2 compliant LRs will show the generic code if OBD2 scanner is connected but for the real thing dedicated tester is needed cos that generic code has specific subcodes which are pointing directly to the fault... if you compare any generic OBD2 code with a specific LR code youn can see the difference, for example if you plug in a generic reader into a D3(which is OBD2 compliant) with a crank sensor problem it will show P0336 period, while P0336 has 4 subcodes which are shown only by dedicated tester and there are many like this

compare the generic OBD2 code: P0336 = Crankshaft position (CKP) sensor - range/performance problem =Insecure sensor/rotor, air gap, wiring, CKP sensor

with the one from the attachment, but you can make other comparisons too
