Rear wheel bearing failure??
I haven't found anything on here that quite matches what I'm experiencing.
I've started hearing a strange noise from the back of my D2. Screechy noise that sounds like a stone caught between brakes and brake shroud.
Nothing obvious there. Pads have plenty of meat. Discs look fine.
The handbrake warning light lit up on the dash, which is why I looked at brakes first.
The noise gets worse over 1-2km travel.
I've also noticed that if I pull sharply on the steering to the right, it grabs as if I've stabbed the brake pedal, but only seems to bite the back driver's side.
Wondering if it might be a wheel bearing, but I haven't noticed any grinding noise. Didn't notice any looseness when I replaced the wheels after checking the brakes.
If it is the bearing, do I replace bearings only, or whole hub assembly?
Ta,
Ian

You replace the whole hub assembly and also the handbrake light also indicates low fluid level (and also some errors - but you would need a nanocom or similar to read these)

Probably. They are a common failure. You have to buy the whole hub.
