    XYZ Switch-genuine or OEM .

    Gday All ,

    I need a new switch , with the age of these cars now wondering if the extra cost for the green oval sticker is worth the extra $$$ . Aftermarket seems to be a lot cheaper, so just wondered what others have found.

    I wouldn’t have thought it would matter if its OE or OEM as it will be the same product. I would use that rather than any other aftermarket though.

    OEM around $550 landed

    easy enough to rebuild , clean contacts with 1200 grade , retension tracks, small amount of conductive grease, replace rivets with short M5 or 6 ( can't remember ) bolts and nuts with a dab of threadlocker .

    Thanks for the replies, done the air con drains ages ago. Tried the cleaning option but is still randomly faulting so will replace the unit.
