fitting air suspension to non air

Have a new to me 03d2 coming poverty pack,i also have a good spare vehicle with air suspension so thinking of fitting the air on the new disco, anyone know if the bottom mounts for the airbag is the same as coils or di i need to change them over as well.I think the rest is straight bolt on not sure how much of the wireing will need to be sorted as well, remembering this vehicle has never been fitted with air.

The mounts are different, but can be changed,I can't remember how they are different though, but I've definitely swapped a couple back from coils.

I thought that the mount for the airbag was just the perch that the lower coil spring perch sat on???

    From RAVE
    Air springs (vehicles with SLS)
On vehicles with SLS fitted, air springs are fitted between the rear axle and the chassis. Each spring is located at its
base on a fabricated platform on the rear axle. The top of the spring locates in a fabricated bracket attached to the
    outside of each chassis longitudinal.
The plastic base of the air spring has two lugs which locate in a slotted hole in the rear axle platform. The spring is
secured by rotating the spring through 90, locating the lug in the platform.
The plastic top of the air spring has two
grooved pins which locate in holes in the bracket on the chassis. Two spring clips locate on the grooved pins and
retain the top of the spring in position.
    It clips into this slot
    Cheers

The fiddly thing will be to set up the SLS wiring harness cos that's missing on your non-air vehicle but you might be able to remove the chassis harness from the donor and plug it in your's ... depends if both or neither have ACE too

Funny my 02 with springs appears to have the harness for the height sensors.

That is the only function I can think of for the wires hanging down each side in front of the axle which wore through my fuel manifold.

    regards PhilipA

I'm going to have to look at mine now.
When it stops raining fitting air suspension to non air
I thought the D2 used a common harness for most all trim levels/specs?
I've added the headlight washers when I installed a new washer bottle, the harness was there for the extra pump.

There are many chassis harness options and i doubt that one which left the factory without ACE and/or SLS is fitted with one especially if you see the price of it, example for SLS withou ACE https://www.brit-car.co.uk/product.p..._air_sus_disc2 , those for SLS + ACE are double that price ...

    here's the whole list
