How to tell if D2 is a HSE??

    I'm currently looking for a 2003/04 D2 TD5.
Some sellers are listing cars as HSE, others are "classic" others are "platinum"
Have seen some HSE's that have armrests on front seats (as they should have), and others claiming to be HSE's but no armrests and "platinum" badges on front guard.
I exect those without armrests may not be HSE, but "platinum".
Is there a site that shows all the differences in trim/extras on the 03/04 D2's?
Does anybody know when they put the bigger intercooler on to TD5 D2's (was that with the facelift model 03-04?), or just some late change in specs?

Classic (both Country & City versions) & the Platinum were local 'special editions' & neither was based on the HSE.
They might have some HSE features but mostly just added accessories to tempt buyers.

And the larger IC went on EU3 models, which includes late '02 (pre facelift) D2's

As far as i am aware HSE's have two sunroofs as standard and are fully loaded with 7 seats, rear a/c, rear sls, ACE, upgraded Harmon Kardon speakers, leather seats with arm rests.

Plus i wanted one but couldnt find one at the time
    Cheers tt

Also wood trim on the centre console/dash and thicker roof rails.

I don't think all HSEs had woodgrain on the binnacle. Mine doesn't.

There is no such thing "HSE" as official spec for D2, IMO that's a marketing scam... see the specs as LR made them here https://www.parkers.co.uk/land-rover...on-1998/specs/ you can open each link from the above line then open "view equipment options"
    Discovery Td5 (2000), manual, tuned
