That's it, it's really straight forward, as is bleeding.
I'll be changing the brake lines in the next few days. Any odd things to be wary of? There's nothing on RAVE, that I could see.
I am thinking
Wheels off
Clean around the connections.
replace lines.
It's also giving me an opportunity to clean the contacts in the LHS rear abs cable. And replace the front rotors.
What am I missing?
TIA
Julian

Are you putting in extended braided lines? some brands We heard from customers didnt fit the brake line retainers. they fell though the hole and the clip to retain couldn't be be used.
Yes, extended, and they WILL FIT! One way or another.

i fitted some extended ones i had made up from enzed and the job was pretty easy. Bleeding was probably the hardest part of the job to be honest and thats pretty easy too.

I did all mine with Goodridge braided extended lines. Pretty straightforward needed to find an 11mm (I think) open ring spanner.
also did the flexible links to the rear that the service schedule says to do at some stage.

When I did the Goodridges, I remember wishing I had a new set of copper washers for the banjo fittings.
I ended up reusing the old ones after a bit of a polish.

Unusual, they normally supply new ones.
If you ever need to reuse a copper washer again, just hit them with a blow torch or oxy until a dull cherry and let air cool.
A quick polish with some scotchbrite and you're good to go.
Annealing like that makes them almost infinitely reusable.
I thought it was strange that they weren’t included.

I have 8 copper washers with mine, I guess that one side of the banjo does not need one. I'll find out when I take it apart.
