My car has a set of drawers, that will hopefully stop impacts. I'm wondering if there will be enough room for the plugs. Where would you put the sockets?

I hesitate to add to this thread as everyone has their own ideas.
However I found a good way to feed power to the LH side of the back as follows.
I have a 4BS cable along the RH chassis rail which I have bought into the area behind the vent.
To get to the LH side you can run a 4B&s cable under the plastic trim across the bottom of the back door opening. if you lift the plastic garnish undo the screws and remove the plastic strip you will see a gap between the carpet and the body. I cut a bit off the plastic strip so that it can be removed and replaced without removing trim.
I then fitted a Merit plug under the existing cigar plug on the LH side to feed my Engel. You have to have a plug at the front if you want to have a fridge slide. To fit it you can just remove the top cap and pull a wire from the rear . To do this I used a n ALDI drain cleaner wire winder thingo.
I have a merit plug and anderson plug on top of the RH corner trim and a USB flush dual plug on the side of the corner trim with a switch on top to cut off the power to the plug to extinguish the LED.
On The LH side i have a small switch on top of the blind bracket so that it doesnt get caught on anything, which controls an earth to the relay that earths the 10amp DC DC charger I have fitted inside the corner trim.

I find with my old Engel that if you zip tie the cable over the handle it enables the fridge to slide out without fouling the slide on return.Quote:
I like the Aldi drain cleaner wire to pull the cable to the rear. I have a fridge slide and I used a bit of light bungee cord to pull the power cable back when the slide was closed.

I have fitted the 12V power board, now to connect up the wires
Attachment 160777
Attachment 160778
Two 12V outlets, one for the fridge, one for the LEDs and a double USB outlet with a volt meter. The supply comes from the auxillary battery.
Do I fit a fuse on the +12V or on the earth? And what amp fuse?
positive,
whats the max draw of the fridge?
(way) below the max the cable will handle.
ALWAYS fuse the +ve ( on a -ve earth car ), and as Pedro asks, the fuse amperage will depend on the current draw of the fridge plus whatever else you plan to plug in. The wires feeding the plug also need to be able to carry that current.
Oh, and you have a D2 with a rear boot?
The fridge draws 0.7 to 1.0 Ah
USB's are 2.0 A each, led lights? not sure
maybe 8 Amps all up. 10A fuse then.
25mm square cable. good for more than 15 amps over 2m
As for "Oh, and you have a D2 with a rear boot? " I do not understand. Do they not all have a rear boot?
