I have a induction tester that gives me an indication a fault code if there is a fault with spark. I loaded the engine until the misfire occurred and no faith showed on my spark tester . I have not tested the fuel pressure as yet . As a matter of ensuring some reliability with the vehicle I have a new MAF sensor . New coils ,new injectors And new CPS which I will fit once I have determined the issue

The CPS gives a single warning (complete failure while driving) then fails completely.
same for fuel pumps, they dont tend to fade away---
Not my money but at this life stage of the vehicle a set of coil paks(if still originals) would be a good idea anyway...

wiring - "which lead to which pak" diagram on here somewhere, maybe in the Good Oil Forum..

buy a cheap ( $20) bluetooth OBD2 connector and see what faults are there..

    single cylinder multiple misfire,,
Ok, so could be A plug, A lead, or A coil pak,,
    or A head gasket....

    have you pulled THAT plug??
a nice clean one may mean its been constantly steam cleaned...

pull a few plugs and compare...

It has new leads , new plugs, compression tested 125 +/- 3 psi across all cylinders no 4 plug black( unburnt fuel). Rest of plug fine . Replaced no 4 plug with known working plug problem still exists

    misfire

One possibility is a solid object partially blocking the inlet runner on that cylinder. Would work ok at low revs, but under load would not pass enough air for the amount of fuel injected. Misfire and fouled plug.
I note in your last post, you were going to remove inlet manifold.
    Any progress with the problem?

    cheers
    Pete
