Thread: my first car problems

i've got a hole in my gearbox is this normal?, it doesn't look right can somebody help me this is my first car and its leaking everywhere. (please see pictures below)
my car is a discovery series 2 td5 diesel

That hole is supposed to be there pretty sure it is a drain hole Land rovers like to leak every where ,just try to work out where is comes form then fix it and work on the next leak .
