Is that a CD stacker, fridge or brake controller?
If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.

I've done it, but it's unreliable.
    The plug can wiggle loose.
If the fridge draws too much power it can trip an Error code and turn off.
We had to run new wiring in our camper because the cigarette plug caused repeated Errors in the fridge-freezer, particularly if they both turned on at the same time.

That cable is so thin that voltage drop is huge.

An Engel (Swing motor) will do ok. A Danfoss/Equivalent will be marginal at best and fail on start up regularly.

That is my key (not in the ignition) sitting on top of my operating fridge. Fridge on front seat but plugged into rear power socket.
