The remote is an accessory which allows you to drop the rear Suspension airbags on SLS equiped D2’s to “grandma” mode. Won’t work if you have steel springs in the rear.

You program it up to the car with a nanocom the same way as you program a key up.

both the 433 and 315Mhz Versions are still available from jaguar land rover classic spares but the price of the 433 MHz version is a bit eye watering.

Seems it is the 315Mhz there is usefulness at around $150 delivered, the 433 at around $500 na!! Having had a look at the information out there and there was a change but it appears uncertain of when and mine is a 2000 with a Valeo key Land Rover Discovery II Discovery Series 2 year 1999 to 2006 | Remote Key, UK on here they have a plug in key programmer which comes with the key! https://www.allfourx4.com.au/433Mhz-Alarm-Remote-Ignition-Key-for-Land-Rover-Discovery-2-CWE100680KIT Steve, does it only go one way, would have though the logical thing was press it once for up, then press it again for down???

Would be interested if they could be found at a reasonable price 😁

Unfortunately it only lowers the suspension to and from normal height, it doesn't raise it. See the attached extract from the owners manual.

With regard to remote frequency except for the first year? (1999?) all Australian vehicles were 433mhz. A search on the forum here or others more knowledgeable will be able to give the exact change over date or vin number.

I only want it for trailer hook up so would be ideal.

It mentions the 315mhz was on VIN with an XA in the middle, mine has YA hmmmmmm, not sure its worth $500 for this party trick!

That’s correct. I just bought the fob and programmed it up using the Nanocom. Six or 7 years ago 433 version was a lot cheaper!
