As said above do a search, lots of info on D2 keys.
One thing to note about the above advice is that the early D2's used a different frequency alarm to later ones. The VIN will tell a dealer or anyone with MicroCAT what frequency fob is required.
Locksmith can cut the key based on the lock number. Again, dealer can get this from the VIN.
Yes it has an immobiliser and the key fob needs to be programmed in to the vehicle. Any new fob will come with 2 barcodes and these are used to initialise and identify the new fob.
