check fuel pressure
Here is a picture of the inside of the ECU.

Nice and clean. This is not the first time the ECU has been opened, judging by the marks on the lid and the gray sealant smeared on top of the plugs. It now has nice clear sealant.
I tried the F10 voltage came up with nothing. With the fuse out, and the engine running the pump draws 7.36V
I'll have another look a bit later.
With the volt meter set on 200mv the reading jumps around 00.20 to 00.30 I do not know what this means!! Time to buy a mV meter.

Hi this one worked for me it's a bit cheap but for domestic use it is fine, has all the adapters to suit most make and models. For the Td5 it fitted inline on the FPR.

I'm pretty sure that's the low pressure(return) line.
Follow the RAVE diagram to be sure .. from tank to the FPR inlet should be the high pressure side.
My guess tho is that will be before the regulator, so more of a test on the fuel pumps ability to pressure the fuel enough to the regulator.
That's probably why Chris at LR Toolbox(link) removed the temp sender and installed the adapter into that area.
(I think) .. this will be measuring the regulators ability to 'regulate' at whatever the value should have been.

Ah yes. I see what you mean. How am I going to get my hands in there? My Belly gets in the way LOL.
Tomorrow I'l measure the amps across F10. The ammeter only goes to 10A so if I get a number around 8A I guess that will indicate the HP part of the pump. If the ammeter melts in my hands.... I'll wear leather gloves!! Pump ok
