I believe it's straight fit only for D2 with EURO 2 engine. The expansion tank in EURO 3 is a bit different.

I have the return via the oil cooler blanked off so it may be fine. [emoji6]
Looks like a solution to the LR expansion tank failures.
As BMW owned Land Rover during this period, I'd suggest these are identical parts, so can the BM item be relied upon?
I think the best option is the Allisport replacement. They come with sightglass and/or low coolant alarm options. My only complaint is the fancy cap failed (prematurely IMO), but is easily replaced with a common or garden verity.
