I recently took the injector cover off the TD5 to check the injectors and I was surprised to see almost 'zero' sign of ANY wear on the rocker shaft or mating surfaces .. unlike many photos I've seen of significant wear and pitting on other vehicles..
The only concern I ever had about the Teflon additive was that in the engine oil I thought that the rotor filter might just filter out the Teflon and clog the filter up before it had a chance to do it's job.
From what I saw of the camshaft, as above, that doesn't seem to have been the case.
others might still feel it to be a waste of money .. but I personally think it's good insurance and saves $$$ on unnecessary wear.
I'll continue using it in my next vehicle (Disco 4) as well.
