That’s the problem with the written word.

Context, expression, intent and emotion can be easily lost.

And are perceived based on the readers emotional state at the time.

Ah well, now that we've clarified all that lets get back to arguing about D1 vs D2 rather?

Or maybe whose friendlier - D1 or D2 owners?

    Two words

    Traction control.
I have been on a couple of trips, and without traction control I would be stuck.
Once on Rockey Track in Toolangi, The Three Amigos appeared and I ground to a halt. The car would not progress. I did try to go , but too much wheel spin. I turned of the engine, restarted, without the Three Amigos and got to the top.

It is not a matter of opinion though...you can easily get caster correction. Bushes are the easiest way. Cheers

Rotoflex (genuine German one) is excellent. Cheers

They are. I've gone back and reinstalled a rotoflex into the rear tailshaft to reduce the NVH again. If I did start breaking them again I would switch it across to the thicker BMW M3 rotoflex before going back to a uni-uni rear tailshaft.

This is an interesting read on it:
    A stronger Rotoflex possibility.
    Cheers

As stated previously, my opinion was based on outdated info. I acknowledge that. Castor ( correct spelling, caster refers to sugar ) correction was not easily available when I was first looking. I am grateful for the new information. I hope that, after many years, I can actually drive my Disco and heed all your sage advice. Legends, all of you.

New keys for a D1 is as easy as handing a few dollars to Mister Minute, not so for a D2.
If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.

Actually! .. can be .. if you're not fussed about the remote locking and 'alarm annoyance'.
Same keys. Or, more accurately same key blade shape and size.
