Finally I have spare, working keys for my car. I have a key with dud electrics and a fully functioning one.
My thoughts are to secrete the non electrical one somewhere external. Any suggestions on where, please?

Thanks John, I was thinking along the lines of a zip close sandwich bag. I'll investigate the compressor shelf. I was considering the steering guard.

A key with dud electrics will not start the car.

If you already thought to the SLS compressor or steering guard then it's easyer and less messy to undo 6 screws and hook the spare to the air filter behind the LH side tail lamp.
