    Key fob replacement Perth

Hi guys. I'm in need of some advice regarding key fobs. (Yes I've searched on here but getting mixed results)

My dilemma as such is my new (very old) 04 disco 2 came with 2 keys in a fairly munted condition. The keys themselves work but the buttons don't. Hence i can't lock/unlock the car remotely. If i lock it using the door and key combo its fine, until i unlock it and the alarm goes off until i start the motor. Not a huge drama but would like to fix this and utilise the keyless entry

Now this is where the confusion starts. I've read everything from "just order some off ebay and you will be right" all the way to "you need to take the car to a dealer and pay $500 to have a new key coded to the immobiliser" I'm a little lost right now to be honest.

Has anyone got any advice for someone around Perth who might be able to help me out with a couple of new key fobs?

Cheers everyone Key fob replacement Perth

The keys can be coded with a nanocom. There will be a forum member who can help you with this, if you don't have one.
If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.

Going by your photo that’s a nice tidy vehicle there... I have an “off topic” question, what tyres are you running?

If the keys and fobs need replacing. I have used UK Autocare in Wangara.
They were able to get me 2 blank keys and fobs for $180 from memory. They will then reprogram the keys.
The locksmith down the road will cut the keys.
The keys I got were for a Rover, so if the car is not started within 30 seconds of unlocking, just need to press unlock button on fob again.
Can probably be programmed out, but I haven't been too worried about it.

Cheers mate. Yeah i think the whole lot needs to be replaced. Can see both keys have been superglued together where key meets fob, and fob buttons are all but destroyed. I'll check them out this week Key fob replacement Perth
