you can get schreader valves on 4mm line joiners, one per side for the quick fix then t piece it in later, or t piece it straight in and put the schreaders somewhere easy to get to.

That is Richard (Landynut) Holden. Very active on FB and evilbay but not on the forum IIRC. Has LOTS of LR stuff.

edit. He has moved (still in the same general area) not that long ago.

That's the plan Dave. I'll fit the s/h compressor tomorrow and investigate a safe route to the fuel filler compartment.
The s/h compressor will give me breathing space to source a rebuild kit from bagpipingandy.
I also got a new fan and hub from your expensive mates, Borg Warner price, generic label.

She lives again, with the new compressor. Like having a nip and tuck, no more saggy bum.

Wha? .. you don't like the saggy bum look?(and yes we're talking D2 SLS types only here!!)

My not yet started D2 project has had this look for a good couple of years now .. and my 18yo nephew and his mate came around one day recently and loved it's go fast stance!
Apparently the nose up/bum down .. lowrider .. type look seems to be a thing again with the millennials.

The original intention was to recon the original unit and refit it immediately. The difficulty fitting it demands a rethink. I'll rebuild as planned but unless needed it can sit on the shelf.
